That market, Waverly Market, would become the foundation and inspiration for his company, Waverly Markets, LLC, owners and operators of ShopRite of Manchester, ShopRite of East Hartford, and ShopRite of Tri-City Plaza. Following the example of his grandfathers and his father, Stan Cohen, Rich and his wife Kye have made it their business to continue the tradition of families feeding families. Rich and Kye's daughter, Jordan Coe, was named President in 2018 after almost 20 years of service to the company. Two of Jordan's three brothers have been fixtures in the business over the years, with Alex dedicating 15 years and Zach joining the company more recently after a multifaceted career between Boston and New York. The familys second store opened in the summer of 2010, and third in the spring of 2020. As a member of the Wakefern/ShopRite cooperative, the Cohen Family believes in the successful partnership created by large company buying power and local, family owned business.
