Answer: After composing 'Colours' I wanted to self publish. Companies House provided all the relevant guidance and within 24 hours this new music publishing Company was born. I will never forget the feeling of achievement and how overwhelming it was when I had, in the act of forming a Limited Company, irrespectively achieved so little. It then occurred to me that actual accomplishments and real achievements might lay beyond a Memorandum of Association or a Certificate of Incorporation. Shortly after I began reaching out to service charities who I understood might benefit from a simple gesture such as the gift of a finished score. It turned out that a score would not have benefitted anyone and that the only way to provide a lasting benefit would be to have the music and lyrics produced into a sound recording; a marketable product that could be offered to the single market for sale, consumption and reward. Believe me when I write there is far more involved in this than one might expect. Owning both the exclusive rights in the score and the publishing company administering those rights helped somewhat in obtaining a licence to reproduce the material in phonographic form and after two years of post production and planning I once again approached Companies House. Having now founded a record label on which to release the work, I set off once more waving a banner for 'Colours' in one hand whilst presenting an extended play charity release single in the other. Considerably more has been accomplished over the last two years, and as a highly creative individual in heart, mind and education I enjoy the buzz of excitement that rests around the formation of a new company. A father and a son but getting to the important point I am not an ex-member of Led-Zeppelin. Perhaps it may be worth considering the formation a new touring company called Compound Blimp, however in the meantime I will look forward to learning where this new group of Companies might lead..
