Answer: The Polar Project searches for an inclusive, constructive and well researched story on climate change. We move the boundaries of immersive storytelling through innovative crossovers between social cultural work, crossmedia investigative journalism and the stage. From live events, documentaries and investigative articles to virtual reality, spoken word and street art, we connect young people, artists, policy makers, entrepreneurs, social workers, journalists and documentary filmmakers to write a new socio-ecological contract with the future. The Polar Project was launched in September 2019 by documentary filmmaker and investigative journalist Jan De Deken. During his 11 years of foreign reporting again and again he was confronted with the dire impacts of climate change on communities and their surroundings. Climate action being dangerously slow, Jan realised a new, more inclusive, more mobilising climate story needs to be told.
