A group of licensed professionals, we believe in the power of design and the impact it has on people. We understand the design process and bring creative, client-focused design solutions to our work. We manage each project to the program, design objectives, budget and schedule and believe that project governance and stewardship are equal to design quality. LDG has historically been environmentally conscious with specifications, whether they be for residential or commercial projects. With a large portion of our work being of a commercial nature, we have automatically focused on materials that provide long life cycles, sometimes as many as 50 years. We support manufacturers and fabricators that are within the LEED-recommended 500 mile radius of our projects, and those that have solid sustainability stories behind their products. In the studio, we strive to be paperless and support as many local providers as possible. Our firm competency serves many market sectors. LDG held the state contract for interior design services for consecutive 5 years, and participated in the renovation of Fall Creek Falls State Park for the states General Services division. We partnered with a local architect for the renovation of an office facility at Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware, a federally funded project. Having completed well over a million square feet of renovation and new construction at the University of Tennessee over the past 12 years, we are well versed in gaining approval of concepts and materials by multiple layers of users, administrators, and facilities personnel. We are a small but agile group, and possess the design and project management experience needed to efficiently and successfully complete public projects.
