Gift of Life Transplant House was founded in 1984 and will celebrate its 35th Anniversary in 2019. The house began as a vision of Edward Pompeian while traveling to Rochester, MN for his own healthcare and transplant needs. He believed patients would heal better in a clean, home-like environment. Gift of Life Inc. started with just an eight bedroom house. Now, there are two houses with a total of 84 double occupancy guest rooms for transplant patients and their caregiver. The vision of Gift of Life Transplant House is to positively impact the lives of transplant patients and their caregivers by providing a home away from home that continuously offers hope and healing.
