Answer: OUR HISTORY Our story starts in 2002, when Jack purchased 4 Robe Movers, 2 Robe Scanners, 3 Color Kinetics C-200s from IPS Inc in Wilmington. In 2003, he worked under the informal name of Jackelly Design, lighting CD release parties and DJ gigs. By 2004, others teased him as "Mr. LED" as he ran his new company out of his home and landed his first major installation with Menage Ultra Lounge in Charlotte. Michael-Paul "Jack Kelly" James founded Eye Dialogue in December 2004 to meet the growing demands for his services. Expanding the firm with pavement pounding and part-time help, Lighting Dimensions Magazine published our first story in 2005. With momentum building, Devyn Norman, our first full-time employee, joined the team in 2006. As business increased, part-time team members moved to full-time, and the rental inventory rapidly expanded. We found our new home in 2008, with 17,000 square feet of expansion possibility. Over the next decade, Eye Dialogue won 17 national, regional, and local awards with more than 20 projects featured in nationally distributed magazines, earning recognition for both events and installations. Speaking the Language of the Eye Eye Dialogue sought to capture the entirety of the entertainment technology experience. As an experiential design company, we fully integrated decor, audio, visual, special effects, and lighting into our projects, attempting to integrate the components into a single paradigm seamlessly. Eye Dialogue was sold to Don James in 2012 and began to move towards a AV production model. Under new leadership, Eye Dialogue focused more heavily on local production and rentals. They began to increase their footprint in the local event market. In 2023, Eye Dialogue merged with Scott Brown Media Group (SBMG).
