Explorer's Guide is a training center for receiving your USCG approved OUPV 6-pack license (Inland or Near Coastal, 100-ton Master of Vessels license and Masters Upgrade. We also offer American Heart Association and ECSI Certified CPR and First Aid training for businesses and mariners, along with FCC Marine radio and Knot tying and Line Handling classes. Explorers Guide Maritime Academy has been successfully turning boaters into Captains for the past seven years. We teach a variety of maritime courses in classroom, online, and blended formats, from the USCG-approved captains license classes, to public safety and recreational boating classes. Most of our classes are fully accredited, as a result of our unique partnership with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Several funding opportunities are available to qualified students. We are dedicated to providing a sound learning experience for all our students. Learning is more than reading a book or listening to a lecture. It is being actively involved in the learning process. This can only be done when the instructors apply the discuss-demonstrate-do approach. Students also learn in different ways. To meet everyones needs we use auditory, visual, and kinesthetic activities. In other words, students listen, see, and do the activities to provide the best learning experience.
