Answer: CWR Manufacturing, LLC is the recognized leader in the application of advanced cold forming technologies to achieve fast and economical high volume production for a wide range of products. Our customers are original equipment manufacturers and their suppliers. CWR manufactures mechanical fasteners and components to customer specifications, with most jobs requiring custom process and tooling design. We specialize in high volume wire form applications. Our product is often a direct replacement for more costly, machined products offering greater strength, reduced scrap, and shorter lead times for large quantities. CWRs capabilities include part lengths up to 8 long at 3/8 diameter or up to 0.800 diameter and 4 in length, thread rolling from 4-40 to 34-10 (m 3 x 0.5 to m 18 x 2.0), all fastener head styles and configurations, and all rolled thread styles. We utilize a variety of materials including aluminum, brass, copper, high carbon steel, low carbon steel, silicon bronze, stainless steel, and alloy steels to satisfy our customers needs. CWR utilizes cold forming technologies to achieve fast and economical high volume production for a wide range of products. Cold forming techniques such as heading, wire forming, and thread rolling are used to produce finished parts from wire without the aid of heat. Cold forming produces finished parts that are superior to their machined versions in less time and at lower cost. With machining, up to 80% of the original material may have to be removed to produce the required part geometry. Specialized and multi-stage cold forming techniques enable us to eliminate machining operations for most parts. For those parts where final dimensions require post process finishing, CWR has the capability to machine groves and custom profiles. Please contact us for your custom cold formed metal component needs.
