At Calimia Home they create a vision for each interior space together with their clients. Calimia's team takes care of the execution, delivering a picture-perfect backdrop and an intentionally designed home for their clients. Calimia's residential projects include historic restoration, full service furnishing, fixtures, finishes, outdoor living spaces, plant design, styling and more. Calimia founders, husband and wife team Gustaf Svensson and Monique Miller blend their distinct backgrounds into a lived-in luxe aesthetic. More than a decade ago, the two first met while pursuing careers in hospitality and fashion in New York City. In 2012, they moved to Miami bringing with them the architectural influences of the cities where theyd lived, Los Angeles, Gothenburg, Chicago, New York, and a luxe, airy, point of view on tropical living. While working in importing fine art and home design products from around the globe, they began the collaborative process of designing their own Florida home. This project made clear their future path: a new interior design career together where theyd recreate their same dedication to the design process and details of their own home to help others live in style. Calimia launched soon after. The name is a blend of Cali for Monique's Los Angeles roots and Mia the place where the couples first design project was born and they currently live with their young family. Monique acts as the lead designer for the company and Gustaf runs all operations and project management. Calimia Home is currently based in Miami, with a brick & mortar lifestyle boutique coming soon.
