ArchEcology, LLC, is a woman-owned firm located in Seattle. Our staff combines years of architectural design and construction observation experience with extensive green building consulting. Together, we've successfully certified more than 125 LEED projects, and a variety of projects under other green building programs, totaling over five million square feet. We use our knowledge of sustainable design and construction to provide guidance to project teams throughout the development process and to act as an effective advocate for project owners pursuing sustainable goals. For new construction, we integrate sustainability into conventional design and renovation goals. Through our extensive knowledge of green building programs, we help determine the sustainable strategies most feasible for the project. Then we facilitate cost effective decision-making throughout the process by interpreting compliance with sustainable goals within the context of local code practices and regional resources. For existing buildings, we evaluate building envelopes, analyze energy and water use, benchmark best practices, and develop operational measures that improve indoor air quality and mitigate environmental impacts. Our services include not only interpretation of green building rating system requirements, coordination of roles and responsibilities, specification review, and on-line administration, but also energy code compliance, energy modeling, and heat transfer analysis. ArchEcology is one of the select few firms across the nation that the US Green Building Council has designated a Proven Provider for new construction projects pursuing LEED certification.
