Answer: The Youth Environmental Alliance mission is to deliver education programs and facilitate participation in environmental activities to diverse persons of all abilities. Each program highlights the importance of outdoor ethics, safety, and environmental stewardship while providing a fun learning atmosphere. We offer programs for at-risk youth and people with special needs. We offer corporate volunteer efforts to help restore S. Florida's dune habitats and mangrove systems (through "Project ROC" - Reclaiming our Coastlines), as well as beach cleanup events. YEA is committed to providing opportunities for youth and their families to reconnect to Floridas outdoor activities while fostering a lifelong respect for our planets future. Partnerships with like-minded organizations have allowed YEA to maximize resources and to improve the scope and quality of our programs. Continuing with this focus YEA has expanded our 2008 programs to include Hooked on Fishing-Not on Drugs as well as Florida Ag in the Classroom. Each program offers youth the unique opportunities to learn about our fragile environment while experiencing hands-on involvement.
