In 2005, he began offering these leashes under the name Reel Deels. After a year of constant online sales, the product line was then expanded to include rudimentary imitations of what is now YakGears line of extensive paddle sport and marine products. This expansion continued through November of 2007 when Reel Deels reached its 20th product in the product line and officially became YakGear. Today, we operate a fully inventoried showroom in Houston, TX, a multinational e-commerce website, and have multiple retail agreements with retail stores ranging from large, nationwide retailers to small, family owned kayak shops.
