When it was founded back in 1971, the company initially acted strictly as a distributor of polyethylene film and bags. By 1976, in an effort to ensure that its customers received the highest quality plastic possible, X-L Plastics had begun to manufacture its own products. The company has grown tremendously since its inception all those decades ago. From a mere four employees, X-L Plastics staff has increased to a total of 175 employees. Necessitated by its expansion, the X-L Plastics plant has twice moved to larger facilities. Presently, the plant is located in the city of Clifton, in Passaic County, New Jersey. X-L Plastics site now boasts a combined office and manufacturing space of 250,000 square feet. X-L Plastics currently has 18 extruders working ceaselessly 24 hours a day, and three recycling machines on premises. X-L Plastics is a family-owned business. Three generations worth of hard work and dedication has shaped the company and the way it does business. Moreover, as an American-born-and-bred company, X-L Plastics products are manufactured solely in the United States.
