Answer: Working Landscapes is a non-profit organization based in Warren County, NC. Our mission is to create more sustainable livelihoods for people in the Warren County region through stewardship of natural and cultural resources. In other words, we want to help build and support a local economy through fostering landscapes that workenvironmentally, socially, and economically. Currently, our organization is working to build the vitality of our regions food and agricultural economy. To do this, we have created a Warren County Food Hub. The Food Hub is comprised of two facilities: The Warren County Produce Center, located on the site of a former flour mill and cotton gin, is where local produce is stored, chopped, and bagged for delivery to regional schools and other customers. The Produce Center was established in partnership with Warren County government. Warren FoodWorks is a community kitchen, store, eatery, and gathering space located in a historic commercial building on Warrentons Main Street.
