When combined with technologies available for the analysis of DNA extracted from scat, scientists can verify species, sex, and potentially determine population size, home range, paternity, and kinship while the analysis of endocrine extracted from scat can determine the reproductive status of individuals. As leaders in the field, WDC has worked with more than 30 conservation groups in over 20 ddifferent countries. Many of these projects have been ground-breaking within the field of conservation biology. What's more, all of our specially trained dogs are rescued from shelters, unsuitable homes, or after failing at other working careers, but before they are euthanized or surrendered to a shelter
