The Womens Fund SouthCoast is a fundraising organization with a mission to advance the educational attainment and economic security of women and girls in Southeastern Massachusetts. The Womens Fund was initiated in 2000 with a founding donation by a local judge. As a young single parent she had benefitted from a supportive communal living situation which allowed her to continue in school. She envisioned creating a permanent resource for women and girls to help them overcome barriers to receiving the education and life skills they need to become contributing members of the community.
