Answer: WildCare provides people a place to bring native wildlife struggling to survive with the goal of releasing healthy individuals back to nature. WildCare admits and treats over 7,500 wild animals of over 240 different species annually. Most of our wild patients have been injured or orphaned as a result of human activity as they try to cope with increasing urbanization of their natural habitats. Common reasons for admission include being hit by cars, attacked by cats and dogs, shot, window collisions, poisoning, yard work accidents, and unnecessary trapping. WildCare has 250-850 patients in care at any given time and is open to admit new patients 365 days a year. WildCare is supported entirely by donations from caring individuals like you. Making a contribution will help ensure that there will always be a safe place for Oklahomans to bring wildlife in need.
