Answer: The WBS is an all-volunteer, non-profit corporation which has no payroll. All Directors / Officers and Board Members of the corporation donate the many hours required to conduct the business of WBS. Every membership dollar is applied to our general fund which is used to produce events such as the Holiday Party, the Slide Guitar Shows and of course, our largest event, The Best of Blues Awards (The BB Awards). The production costs of the Bluesletter are also paid for, in part, by your membership dollars. Perhaps most importantly, WBS makes significant donations through the Musicians Relief Fund on behalf of the membership to musicians and/or their families in need, both locally and nationally.
