The motivation to do things differently stems from our founder, April Gargiulo. With deep family roots in Napa, April was exposed to the craftsmanship, quality, and the time-honored traditions and practices of fine winemaking from an early age. Aprils experience at her familys winery offered her an incomparable perspective into an unerring methodology, ultimate quality, and continual refinement. This laid the groundwork for Vintners Daughter uncompromising approach to beauty. It was when April was pregnant with her first daughter that she began reading ingredient labels and was immediately frustrated with so-called luxury beauty that was made from low-quality ingredients and toxic fillers. Expecting efficacious, higher- quality, safe skincare and not willing to compromise on the results she craved, April set out to create her dream products. These would be products that drew from the old-world principles of winemaking, craftsmanship and a sense of true luxury. They would be made from the finest quality ingredients in the world, offer unprecedented multi-correctional activity and be completely safe. The first product to bring these extreme standards around efficacy, quality and safety was Active Botanical Serum in 2014 and the second Active Treatment Essence in 2019. Together, Essence and Serum deliver complete nutrition to the skin to drive unprecedented multi-correctional results and lasting change. We believe in giving back and with that in mind are proud to share 2% of every purchase with charities dedicated to protecting, educating and empowering woman and children around the world.
