USATF Southern California is recognized by USATF as the local association governance board responsible for administering services to support and promote our sports: cross country, mountain-ultra-trail, race walking, road running, and track & field in the counties of Inyo, Los Angeles, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. USATF Southern California acts as a service organization creating, conducting, and overseeing programs to provide opportunities for athletes of all ages to participate. Our members include: athletes of all ages, genders, and abilities; coaches and clubs; certified officials; local colleges and universities; and other organizations interested in supporting our sports. As a local governing body, USATF Southern California protects the interests and eligibility of our member-athletes and establishes and maintains competition rules. At both the local and national level, USATF is a volunteer-based organization.
