For more than eight decades, in good times and bad, the Association has been a strong advocate for the individuals who built and sustain the U.S. petroleum industry. The Associations long history is one of distinguished service to the petroleum industry and to our countrys economic and strategic stability. It is recognized today as ...a proven and respected advocate for producers of domestic oil and gas. The US Oil & Gas Association is the only national association with Divisions in the states along the vital Gulf of Mexico (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi/Alabama). Because of the Gulf regions importance to our current and future domestic energy supplies, national policy debates often center on the Gulf of Mexico, making our coordination of national and regional activities an important industry asset.
