Toby's Plant Based Dip & Spread: By the 1980s, Toby was running a restaurant and pregnant with her third child. She needed a power snack to fuel her through the long days, so she created a tofu dip & spread. Friends couldnt get enough and urged her to sell them locally. Today, were still making Tobys Plant Based Dip & Spread using the best ingredients we can findand people are still gobbling them up. Try it. You wont believe the flavor. If we didnt tell you it was tofu, youd never know. Toby's Dressing & Dip: Tobys young boys hated raw veggies. As a single working mother and natural foods pioneer, Toby knew exactly how to solve that problem: Create a salad dressing her kids would find irresistible. It worked. Wherever Tobys dressings appeared, veggies vanished. In the 1980s, when people started asking for a new type of dressing called ranch, local restaurants came to Toby for help. Just a few tweaks to the recipe her kids were already devouring, and people couldnt get enough.
