Answer: Established in 2017, TLC Products is a technology focused company supporting the adoption of a new class of high performance, lightweight Co-Graphene(TM) thermoplastic composites in a variety of end markets and applications. TLC Products has developed a continuous commercial production process that exfoliates graphene from graphite in-situ with molten resin. Invented at and licensed from Rutgers University, successive high shear events literally tear apart graphene sheets, generating free radicals that form covalent bonds with the host polymer molecules. This results in improved stiffness, improved impact strength, improved dimensional stability, less tooling wear, UV resistance, hydrolysis resistance, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivities, etc.. Furthermore, Co-Graphene has been shown to improve the performance of carbon and glass fiber composites. TLC Products currently operates in a 20,000 sq. ft. NJ facility with a growing team of scientists, engineers, and operators, and is currently working with many companies as well as the US government.
