Answer: Thomasville Center for the Arts is an arts organization dedicated to enriching the creative life of the community through the visual, performing, literary, and applied arts. Our dynamic programming aims to inspire creativity and the discovery of art in everyday life. Led by a talented and visionary group of professionals and artists, the Center recognizes the impact the arts have on the local economy and is committed to educational programming that weaves the arts through the fabric of the community. The Center's programming includes seasonal exhibitions and public art installations, an artist collective with more than 80 members, adult classes and workshops; an open studio; children's after school classes and summer camps that focus on visual arts, theater, music and dance; and world-class concert performances. The Center also hosts two annual festivals that attract thousands of visitors from across the region. Each November the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival brings 60 nationally acclaimed wildlife artists to the community to celebrate the hunting culture of our area. In the spring, Due South is our music, food and arts experience that celebrates the authentic southern connection between the land, community and cultural heritage of the Red Hills region of southwest Georgia.
