TRW was founded by company President and CEO Steve Spiegel. A 45-year veteran of the theatre licensing business, Spiegel has introduced unmatched licensing strategies and developed innovative theatrical products and services. He has worked extensively with theatre organizations from educational, community, and professional theatres to Broadway producers, to bring the worlds best shows to every stage in the world. In 2008, the Tennessee Arts Academy presented Spiegel with their Partner in the Arts Award and in 2009, TRW received the Corporate Partner Award from the American Association of Community Theatres. TRW was proud to be the recipient of The Educational Theatre Associations 2015 Standing Ovation Award for significant contributions to promote and strengthen theatre in education through philanthropic efforts and programs. TRW supports scores of theatrical support non-profit organizations that create opportunities for theatre artists. In 2020, Spiegel created a new division of the company, TRW Plays, which has now acquired over 150 new plays. Our recent acquisition, Broadway's hit musical The Prom, wrapped its National Tour and is now available for licensing around the world in 2022 and beyond.
