Her stories and photographs have been seen in publications such as Western Horseman, Horse & Rider, The Trail Rider, and America's Horse. She served as Assistant Editor at Horse & Rider. She is an author of Western Horseman's Understanding Lameness, Legends 6, Legends 9, and a contributing photographer for The Revolution in Horsemanship and Breed for Success. She is a member of American Horse Publications (with a first place win for an Instructional Article about equine photography). Her photos have won multiple titles including awards from the Equine Photographer's Network and a first place AIM Award. Her photos of dogs and horses can also be seen on Nutramax/Cosequin product labels and marketing. As a horsewoman, Heidi began studying Brain Gym and became a registered instructor with PATHi. She has presented demos at Equine Affaire and at the National Youth Horse Council Annual Conference. She directed and produced the popular RFD-TV show, Horse Master for 10 years.
