Answer: Originally opening in 1956, The Statler is an award-winning iconic Mid-Century design masterpiece famed as one of Americas first modern hotels and once known as The Porcelain Palace. The Statler is also famed for bringing the limelight back to Dallas as it naturally attracted elites from coast to coast and hosted legendary performances by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, The Jackson 5, and many others. Tony Bennet performed at both the 1956 opening and the 2017 relaunch. Reawakening in 2017, The Statler is now both a hotel and residences, offering retro-forward style and elevated lifestyle experiences across 159 upscale guest rooms that include two contemporary Presidential Suites, 219 luxury apartments that include elaborate Penthouses, and six unique dine and drink venues that include the 19th-floor rooftop bar and lounge, Waterproof, with stunning panoramic skyline views and an infinity pool; Bourbon & Banter, an underground speakeasy; Scout, a 4,000 square foot gaming hall with bowling; Overeasy, a diner with all day brunch; Primos MX Kitchen & Lounge that serves Tex-Mex favorites; and Sfereco, featuring American-Italian fare. As well, guests and residents enjoy other amenities including: in-room dining, a tranquil resort-style pool, separate fitness centers for guests and residents, curated concierge services, valet services, original artwork, and an on-site barber shop. The historic Grand Ballroom, at 11,500 square feet, remains a popular event venue having hosted famed performances and still showcases the original wood flooring and stage. The Grand Ballroom is complimented by two entertainment suites, a green room and a catwalk. Total indoor/outdoor event space spans over 26,000 square feet across 10 individual spaces. The Statler Dallas, Curio Collection by Hilton is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality and part of the Historic Hotels of America.
