Answer: The 100 Club gives an unequivocal and unconditional promise to police officers and firefighters in Massachusetts that in the event they are killed in the line of duty, we will compassionately care for their surviving families for the rest of their lives and never forget their sacrifice. The Club is committed to do whatever is necessary to compassionately care for these surviving families. The Club is unique because it forms a bond with its beneficiary families that no other organization offers. Some of our current beneficiary families have been beneficiaries of the Club for over 50 years. The Club also provides benefits to those firefighters and police officers who die other than in the line of duty. In the case of an active duty (non-line-of-duty) death, the benefit is a one-time cash stipend to the surviving spouse and/or any minor children of the deceased. The Club covers the following first responders: police officers and firefighters in all 351 Massachusetts cities and towns, the Massachusetts State Police and the MBTA Transit Police.
