Answer: Heirloom was started in the summer of 2011 by John and Kimberly Skaggs. It's more than just the name of our cafe. It's a promise to our guests that we stand behind our mission to provide tasty, healthful, and seasonal food that tells a story. It means we believe in tradition, farm to table, supporting local businesses, and being the best environmental stewards we can be. It means that we want to provide a welcoming dining experience and do what we can to make your day a little brighter. We uphold our mission in many ways: We source most of our products from Ohio farmers and businesses, and we have created relationships with many of the people we source from. We make nearly all of our food in-house, and everything from salad dressing to granola to carrot cakes are made right in our kitchen. We think food tastes a whole lot better when you know where it came from. And almost everything in our cafe is compostable or recyclable.
