Answer: The Global Health Impact Group started by Debi Boeras in 2014 was formed in response to the need for stronger partnerships to meet global HIV targets. Debi brings with her over 10 years of HIV experience as a molecular virologist with Professor Eric Hunter and Dr. Susan Allen and then as the Lead for Molecular Diagnostics with Dr. John Nkengasong at the International Laboratory Branch, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In Debis experience, the most efficient and effective approach to ensure successful programs in HIV diagnosis and monitoring is through strong collaborations. Debi continues to work closely with the African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), Doctors Without Borders (MSF), Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), UNITAID, US Agency for International Development (USAID), and World Health Organization (WHO) providing laboratory and programmatic technical support to ensure sustainable early infant diagnosis (EID), viral load (VL), and point-of-care (POC) programs. In addition to being a technical consultant, Debi also employs social media to partner beyond institutions and organizations to bring about Social Health. Health messaging through social media such as blogs, Facebook, and LinkedIn, can all bring about global impact faster than ever before
