About our Founder: Sandra started The Collective Child with the vision of disrupting the luxury shopping space, beginning with childrenswear. Born and raised in Venezuela, Sandra grew up in an intercontinental family of entrepreneurs - traveling back and forth to Paris, New York, and Lebanon - where she gained exposure to the international fashion industry that fed her innate drive to start her own business. Beginning her career with a short stint at French Vogue, Sandra has over a decade of experience in the fashion industry, including nearly eight years working as a buyer and a planner at Bloomingdales where she managed the performance of several omni-channel departments. Sandra also led the development of new brands, including launching several successful multi-million dollar departments and private label brands to address the emerging millennial market segment. Combining her knowledge of the industry, her passion for beautiful design, and her conviction that there was a better way to discover and shop for luxury childrenswear, Sandra launched The Collective Child as a side hustle, shipping the first box out of her friends New York City apartment. Since launching in 2015, Sandra has helped members discover emerging limited- distribution labels from around the world. Her passion, knowledge, and experience come through in every curation shipped.
