Answer: The Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) is a gateway for global trade and the gateway for travel to the State of Alaska. ANC is the world's fifth busiest air cargo airport and processes over five million passengers per year. Located on the great circle route between Asia, North America, and Latin America, ANC is the most direct route to numerous destination for aircraft that require a technical stop. ANC has three runways in excess of 10,000 feet with CAT II/III instrument approaches and VMC weather over 95% of the year. ANC also has special air cargo transfer rights that allow ANC to function like a passenger hub for air cargo operations.
