Answer: We have a wonderful opportunity for hospitality-minded individuals who have a passion for travel and training! We are introducing new Point of Sale and Property Management Systems to several major hospitality companies in North America. As a Trainer and Implementation Specialist, we will train you to provide in-person education and support to end-users at our client restaurant or hotel sites for the particular systems that are being installed. S/he must have a minimum of 6 months' work experience in either the restaurant or hotel industries as we expect candidates to have an understanding of the business environments they will visit. The type of experience one has will help determine whether s/he will specialize in restaurant systems or hotel property management systems. At this time, qualified individuals for the restaurant track are especially encouraged to apply, although we still need candidates for both. Technological literacy is required to the extent to which these systems can be learned quickly during our 3-4 week training program. A strong working knowledge of commonly-used MS Office programs: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook should satisfy this requirement. We emphasize that this is not an office-based job with bankers' hours; the hospitality industry doesn't work like that and neither do we! You will be traveling to North American locations at least 90% of the time...and we do also expect some international opportunities in the foreseeable future. You will work from your mobile office based where you live, and you will report remotely to a manager based in our headquarters location in the Washington DC metro area. Each system implementation assignment is expected to last 2-3 weeks at a time but could be more or less depending on the project specifics. Your travel and lodging expenses are all paid and we will provide you with a laptop PC.
