Answer: In 1834 Nathan Stedman founded Stedman Machine Company by 1866 Stedman developed a unique method of reducing material size through what has become known today as the cage mill. Since then, providing solutions for companies on how to reduce material size has become second nature to us. Today, we continue to focus exclusively on size reduction equipment, including rock crushing equipment, and work closely with our customers to determine the best, most cost-effective, efficient size reduction method and equipment for specific applications. No matter what the material, Stedman offers the equipment choices to crush, pulverize, fine grind, blend and/or lump break the toughest materials. Stedman currently offers various size reduction equipment including cage mills, rock crushers, size reduction hammer mills and industrial pulverizer machines, as well as custom designed solutions. Over the years, the firm's growth found the machinery division's product line expanded to include crushing, pulverizing, disintegrating, mixing and screening equipment for the fertilizer, chemical, meat packing, crushed stone, sand and gravel, glass, precious metals, clay processing, reclaim, recycle and wood industries. Castings were manufactured for the machine tool, pump and valve, printing press, cotton gin, blower, electric motor, power transmission and tool and die equipment manufacturers.
