Answer: The Southern California Law Review, USC Gould's flagship journal, was established in 1927. Staff members are chosen on the basis of the annual Write-On competition and the staff of the Law Review assists in the preparation of scholarly articles and student-written notes for publication. The Law Review has three goals: (1) to advance legal scholarship through the publication of outstanding articles; (2) to foster a sense of intellectual community and professional camaraderie among members of the Law Review and the faculty of the law school; and (3) to train Law Review members in legal analysis and writing. The Law Review publishes one volume annually, produced as six separate issues. Each issue contains articles written by leading scholars and student notes written by Law Review staff members. In addition, the Law Review has a tradition of co-hosting symposia and events with the law school to explore broad topics relevant to the legal field.
