Answer: As a community-based nonprofit organization, SICOG has been dedicated to serving our local communities and stakeholders since its formation in 1976. SICOG exists to connect residents and communities of Southeast Idaho to public services and valuable resources in an effective, efficient, and affordable manner that will allow communities to flourish both economically and socially. SICOG offers an abundant array of services. For example, our Community and Economic Development team provides cost-effective solutions to area-wide problems, including aging infrastructure, barriers to economic development, and lack of available capital to address pressing community concerns. SICOG is also invested in ensuring that our communities have access to reliable and safe public transportation and transportation infrastructure. Whether it be grant writing, grant administration, or anything else, our Community and Economic Development team will continue to serve as a coordinating link between the city, county, state, federal, and other area-wide agencies to help make sure our communities are adequately represented and protected. Additionally, SICOG operates a Revolving Loan Fund to provide small and growing businesses with financial capital, enabling them to expand and create more jobs, strengthening the local economy throughout Southeast Idaho. At SICOG, we know and understand that small and local businesses are the backbone of the economy and will do whatever we can to strengthen and support small business owners. Lastly, SICOG is the home of the Area V Agency on Aging, which provides much-needed services and resources to our aging population. The Area Agency on Aging partners with senior centers and other nonprofits to provide seniors with nutritious meals that otherwise would go hungry. Other services include: In-home care. Respite for caregivers. Caregiver support groups and classes. Ombudsman services. Veterans' direct care services. APS
