Answer: The South Orange County APA (SOC APA) is one of more than 250 franchises, running pool leagues from the Irvine/Tustin area to San Clemente. Established in September 2006, the SOC APA has grown from 13 teams in the Fall 2006 session to 60 teams in the Spring 2009 session, and currently operates with over 80 teams. Weekly league play runs from Sunday through Thursday evenings with formats in 8-Ball and 9-Ball. All local players may become eligible for regional and national events throughout the league year. The Equalizer handicap system allows all levels of players, including novices, to compete and win...with the national motto, "Everone can play; anyone can win!" About The APA National Organization: Founded in 1979, the American Poolplayers Association (APA) is the worlds largest amateur pool league organization, with over 260,000 members competing in pool leagues throughout the United States, Canada and Japan. Weekly 8-Ball and 9-Ball team and singles programs serve as the qualifying ground to the APA National Championships.
