Answer: After spending two years developing our own custom athletic apparel - with aspects ranging from pattern/cut design to fabrics and offerings, to ordering, delivery and other customer-minded details - we officially launched our custom clothing business in 2012. The development process, which is ongoing, took several years to get all of the details right. This included over a dozen trips to our factories before we introduced a single stitch of clothing - we wanted to be ready to meet your expectations. Our production facility is located in Asia and produces some of the most innovative, high-quality, and functional items available. Our factory is state of the art and create products solely for athletic apparel. Everyone at Sommerville Sports rides or races bikes regularly - in fact, many of our meetings take place while spinning laps in Prospect Park, just a few blocks from our Brooklyn office. This allows us to continue to push the limits of our products and make adjustments and revisions as needed. We are the test pilots for our product development, though but we work with several regional cycling teams for regular feedback. And we listen. Our artwork is always client driven - give us your final art of simply provide some direction - we are here to see your vision through to the final product. Roz leads our Brooklyn-based art department and uses his extensive knowledge and experience in this industry to help develop your designs to their best potential. Much of our design work can be seen on our Instagram profile, and many new clients use this as their muse, taking notice of our clean, functional, visible and unique designs. Our standards are high because, just like you, we ride. Our entire process from customer relations, artwork, printing, sewing, to final production puts the emphasis on quality. We only use the best materials available, including worldwide sourced fabrics and Italian sublimation machines.
