Answer: Our organization provides subsurface investigations throughout the New York Metropolitan area. Soil Mechanics has equipment that includes, but not limited to drill rigs equipped to specialized vehicles for all types of site conditions, excavators, dump trucks, and utility vans to perform these services. Lead by two professional engineers licensed in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania, our staff both conducts these investigations and provides geotechnical reports and recommendations for construction. Soil Mechanics also provides geotechnical and structural construction inspection and testing services to the NY Metro Tri-State area, which includes, but is not limited to New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, Orange, Rockland and Westchester Counties. Additionally, we provide these services at our clients request in central and northern New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and upstate New York. We employ over 30 inspectors who are certified in several inspection trades through ACI, ICC, and NICET certification programs. Additionally, our organization provides post construction investigations and testing services relative to both pre-existing structures and parking areas. Our testing lab is accredited by the City of New York, AASHTO and CCRL to perform testing on soils, concrete and asphalt. The lab is staffed by ACI certified laboratory technicians.
