Answer: Founded in Chicago in 2006, Second City Publishing Services provides both individuals and organizations with a full array of services including literary representation and consulting. We currently manage authors in most genres of non-fiction as well as fiction (mystery only), and work with our authors before, during and after their books are published. For authors and organizations that have chosen to publish their own books, Second City Publishing Services offers complete editorial services. We work closely with both individuals and organizations to develop, manage and grow their publishing programs. Before founding Second City Publishing Services in 2006, Founder and President Cynthia Zigmund spent close to three decades in New York and Chicago publishing including positions at John Wiley & Sons, Inc., Van Nostrand Reinhold (a technical and reference publisher) and Irwin Professional Publishing (now McGraw-Hill). In 1996, Cynthia joined Dearborn Trade Publishing (now Kaplan Publishing). During her ten years with Kaplan, Cynthia expanded the organization's program beyond real estate and finance to include management, general business, sales, marketing and architecture. Under her leadership, the organization published several business bestsellers and became a leading publisher of business books. Cynthia holds a business degree from Monmouth University where she graduated summa cum laude.
