RK Builders was founded in 1996 by father and son team Rich Robertson and Keith Robertson, both with decades of experience in construction. We have built hundreds of commercial and residential projects and the best word to capture our value to our clients is versatility: our project experience spans virtually every type of building project and includes every type of process from traditional general contracting through modified construction management to owners rep and program management. We fit our methods to best fit your individual project needs. RK Builders uses three main types of construction processes in working with our clients GENERAL CONTRACTING This is the most traditional building method. In this mode we do not have direct influence on the design but still have responsibility for the success of the project as designed. We often give input on the cost, code compliance, long term value, or constructability of systems, materials, and various details. DESIGN/BUILD In the design/build environment we take responsibility from the start for all design aspects of the project. This can lead to significant savings in time and costs. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT Construction management is another way for us to fulfill your building needs by serving directly as your agent organizing every aspect of the projects needs, especially as the complexity of the project grows. This method is often used when coordinating the project with an existing facility or campus (and possibly multiple projects) rather than managing one stand-alone project.
