Answer: The Rio Grande Valley Humane Society (RGVHS) is a non-profit 501(c)3 animal shelter and adoption center serving the community of the Rio Grande Valley. We provide homeless animals with shelter and care while working to find them new homes. RGVHS serves more than 6,000 animals each year, brought in by municipal animal control officers and surrendered by local residents. All pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered (or scheduled for spay/neuter) prior to adoption. Every day we work to make the Rio Grande Valley a safe place for pets.
