Through the power of Education, Advocacy, Community, and Mobilization, Rewritten equips young men and women with the tools to transform their futures. Education: Through Education, Rewritten fosters innate curiosity and instills the pursuit of academic passions. Advocacy: Through Advocacy, Rewritten safeguards the intrinsic hope present in all children. Community: Through Community, Rewrittens work is fueled for the revitalization of neighborhoods and cities. Mobilization: Through Mobilization, the power of social media becomes the platform for our diverse network of supporters to engage in practical empathy. -Participants- Ages served Children ages 5-12 comprise 65% of our participants. Children 13-18 comprise 35% of our participants. -Programs- Core A holistic program designed to work closely with select participants to achieve academic success and develop positive interpersonal skills through tutoring, team building activities and program-based incentives. Tutoring Children in grades KN-12 receive homework help and small group tutoring, Monday-Thursday. 1-1 tutoring is offered as needed. Mentoring High school students may participate in small group mentoring as well as life skills activities. ReWritten mentoring programs are overseen by licensed therapists and social workers. Seasonal Courses Designed to expose our participants to the fine arts and enrichment activities, seasonal courses bring a diverse range of skills and knowledge to our participants. -Funding- Corporate Sponsors Comprises 25% of our funding. Private/Individual Donors 75% of our funding comes from individual donors in the form of one-time gifts or recurring monthly donations.
