Answer: Reading Works is a community based non-profit adult literacy program. Our mission is to empower adults with the literacy and language skills they need to participate fully and effectively in work, civic life, and community. Reading Works provides free tutoring to any adult resident of Bernalillo County, New Mexico (the greater Albuquerque area). We focus our efforts on individuals who have the lowest level reading and English skills. Trained volunteers meet with clients a minimum of two hours a week to provide instruction in reading, writing, English as a Second Language (ESL), math, and digital literacy.
