Answer: R&D Plastics is a medium-sized, high quality custom plastic injection molder located in Hillsboro, Oregon. We offer technical expertise as well as a solution-based approach to manufacturing, which includes everything from molding to general assembly, outsourced painting, and custom packaging. Our philosophy is to be your one-stop shop for product development and manufacturing. Twenty injection molding machines ranging in size from 28 720 Tons clamping force process a variety of engineering grade thermoplastics into components for companies in a variety of markets including electronics, commodities, medical, transportation, agriculture and other markets. Additionally, we incorporate custom end-of-arm tooling and robotics on most of our presses. We also offer a variety of secondary processes in our assembly department. We have both 15kHz and 20kHz ultrasonic welding machines, heat-staking, and general assembly of mating components. We also work with local suppliers to outsource pad printing and painting services.
