Answer: Raise the Bar Hancock County supports a cradle-to-career workforce trajectory. We strive to prepare and connect, through education and training, an adaptive workforce for Findlay-Hancock County to meet emerging employment needs. Our current key programs strengthen the connections among businesses, education systems, and social service providers. We are enthusiastic about building soft skills among our current and future employees as well as raising awareness about job opportunities within our local industries. Exciting programs in our community include: 1. The Leader in Me (FranklinCovey). Our goal is to implement this program in all nine school districts within Hancock County, Ohio by 2025. Each school district implements the program in grades K-12. 2. Manufacturing Day Experience. Annually, approximately 1,000 8th graders from Hancock County, Ohio participate in hands-on learning with local manufacturers to experience the products and facilities firsthand. 3. Career Day. High school juniors and seniors split their time between a college fair and career fair to learn more about the jobs in Findlay-Hancock County. 4. OH! FAME-Findlay. OH! FAME-Findlay is Ohio's only chapter implementing the Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program. Participants earn an associate's degree, AMT certification, and 1,800 on-the-job hours with a sponsoring company.
