Answer: QCTV provides information on government, local sports, and community events for the northern Twin Cities suburban cities of Andover, Anoka, Champlin, and Ramsey. The video programming and information is presented via local cable channels 15, 16, 18, and 19 on the cable TV system owned and operated by Comcast. Channel 16 is an exclusive government channel for each city we serve and provides cablecasts of local municipal meetings and city sponsored events. In addition, these local channels display an electronic bulletin board containing information regarding city services. All four cities receive the same community channel 15 . This cable signal reaches more than 16,000 households and includes playback times, local news, high school sports, special community events, school board meetings, municipal reports, and Public Access programs. Education channel 18 is a service of the Anoka-Hennepin School District. Informational channel 19 is a community electronic bulletin board that currently displays upcoming community events free of charge. Quad Cities Community Television is managed by the Quad Cities Cable Communications Commission whose Board of Directors is made up of two commissioners from each of our four member cities.
