Answer: PureStream is a technology platform company with a singular focus on making institutional trading scale efficiently and securely. For a glimpse at the problem and solution we are focused on, please consider the following: Can you imagine a data network that links computers that only exchange 1/250th (.004%) of their data payload per connection? Then repeats the connection, transmission, disconnect process hundreds of times before completing. Data networks don't work that way, but the US equity market does. Why is the US trading network with only 50 "nodes" (15 Exchanges & 35 ATS's) considered fragmented, and data networks with thousands considered distributed? The difference between data and liquidity transmission is in the sophistication and application specific nature of data protocols. Equity trading has outgrown price and time as the only dimensions of its trading protocols. If you are interested in learning more as a potential partner, client and/or investor please contact Armando via LinkedIn. Thank you!
