One hundred percent (100%) of the funds raised through the organization remain in and directly benefit those in our local community. The Promise Fund of Florida seeks to save lives through early detection by utilizing the following strategies: Patient Navigation, Community Awareness, Partnerships and Policy Changes. The Promise Fund of Florida was co-founded by Nancy G. Brinker, Julie Fisher Cummings and Laurie Silvers three women who have spent decades working to improve quality of life for men and women of all socioeconomic backgrounds in many different areas of need. They founded the Promise Fund of Florida to fill the gaps in access to healthcare and help those in need right here in Palm Beach County to reduce the number of deaths due to late stage breast and cervical cancer. Utilizing her 40 years of experience building the worlds most renowned breast cancer charity, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Brinker is using her deep and personal understanding of the cause to fulfill the promise she made to her sister, Suzy, in 1980 when she was fighting breast cancer that ultimately took her life at the young age of 36.
