Answer: Every child with autism is unique. Any solution that attempts to predict or diagnose autism must consider the wide range of variability in how the disorder presents. PrimeNeuro is building a solution called BrainStory to help doctors, parents, and educators understand how a childs unique, developing brain may be growing and if that might include autism. Our goal is to predict this development in children as young as 6 months old. This is more than a year before most children begin to show any symptoms of autism, and 1 to 4 years before a diagnosis is typically made. Early diagnosis matters! The brain is still developing, and a childs growth trajectory and quality of life can be dramatically changed and improved with early intervention. Effective, life-altering interventions are available at 6 to 36+ months of age but require an early diagnosis. It is PrimeNeuros passion and mission to deliver an early diagnosis through our innovative technology to families and those that support them. We believe in growing neurodiversity. The number of children diagnosed with autism is growing rapidly, and we appreciate the complexity of a growing brain. We see a need for solutions that can help families and doctors understand and embrace neurodiversity in an ever-increasing population of children on the spectrum.
